Line of Service Internal Firm Services Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism IFS - Clients & Markets Management Level Senior Manager Job Description & Summary A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace. Our Marketing and Public Relations team is responsible for PwC's external media relations and social media strategy. As part of our team, you'll help with social media account management, media relationship management, and identifying new and emerging opportunities for the Firm. PwC is looking for a Marketing Manager to join the Government Programs department in South China. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the leadership team to build relationship and drive local initiatives with the government bodies in the South China region, especially for the Greater Bay Area (GBA). He/she will need to understand the South China market and business priorities to develop integrated marketing plans aligned with the firmwide objectives to drive growth and success. The incumbent will support the South China Markets Leader, the Office Lead Partners in South China, GBA City Government Relationship Partners (GRPs), and the Director of South China Government Programs to manage stakeholder requests/requirements to meet the objectives of each project. * High level government meetings/visits - coordinate and act as a representative of the firm with the local government bodies; handle tasks that support stakeholders of the firm including but not limited to meeting/visits preparations and arrangements, drafting of communications, speeches/talking points; development of thematic white papers; development of media messaging and social media campaigns to increase media profiling and presence; * Policy planning - support the South China Markets Leader and the Office Lead Partners in S0uth China, and GBA City GRPs with developing proposals and recommendations following government bodies' requests; * Government events - identify opportunities for relationship building and profiling, and support the Firm in creating values towards government bodies' focuses; * Firmwide projects/events/proposals involving government/policies - connect stakeholders with appropriate government representatives for projects/events involving or related to government policies and regulations; * Government office visits to PwC - coordinate and facilitate site inspections and meetings, provide meeting materials together with post-event news updates/reports; * News and market intelligence - consolidate insights and key messages from the news and other areas like thought leadership to keep the South China Markets Leader, the Office Lead Partners in S0uth China, GBA City GRPs, and the Director of South China Government Programs updated and informed on the latest government plans, major developments, news on regulatory, etc.; * Announcements and speaking engagements - proactively engage with government organisations, external appointment (e.g. CPPCC) to increase profiling and presence, as well as build relationships, learn latest updates and get potential business opportunities; screen potential speaking engagements with recommendations; * Report to the South China Markets Leader and the Director of South China Government Programs; * University degree in marketing, foreign affairs, journalism or relevant field; * Minimum seven years' experience, preferably gained in a corporate or chamber environment; * Strong organizational and project management skills, and the experience of working and interacting effectively with senior personnel, both internally and externally; * Preferably good background knowledge about business and government environment in the Greater Bay Area (including Hong Kong); * Solid understanding of the local business and government environment in China, being able to draft systematic background materials/talking points with reasonable analysis; * Good time management and problem-solving skills under both normal and urgent occasions, with the ability t
