Eaton are seeking a Plant Controller As a key member of the plant leadership team and region/division finance team. The position reports directly to the finance function (FSD Controller), and functionally to the Titchfield Plant Management. This role is instrumental to manage financial performance of Titchfield including analysis of forecasts and actual performance, business drivers, and operational metrics. Key deliverables: + Develops forward-looking insights to drive management decision, actions and improve operational and financial results. The Plant Controller provides proactive leadership around issues and opportunities. + Drives short term actions to achieve current results while supporting the deployment of progressive strategies which result in a sustainable competitive advantage and strong financial return on investment. + Provides technical competency to ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, legal requirements and GAAP. + Is responsible for administrative process improvements within the plant and division, creates and implements procedures to improve the internal control environment, streamlined efforts and provide increased transparency of financial results. + Responsible for building organizational capability within the finance function by hiring and developing finance personnel. + Ensures assets assigned by the corporation are adequately protected and provides operations management with financial guidance necessary to produce the expected return on those assets + Consolidate, review and analyse Titchfield Financial and operational information to provide Accurate and Timely submission to Plant, FSD HQ, EMEA HQ, Aerospace HQ and WHQ Inform management of results and recommend corrective actions to address unfavourable variances. + Provide monthly Forecast Income Statement and Balance Sheet consolidated Commentary and Variance Analysis to satisfy rolling forecast requirements, based on sound financial judgment and assimilation of factual data and including variance analysis and cost control reporting and recommendations. Interrogate the MFGPRO manufacturing system to provide detailed report commentary & accurate upload to Oracle / Encore financial reporting systems + Measure, identify and explain all variances including but not restricted to Sales, orders, margin and Accounts Receivable to drive process enhancement preventing recurrence as appropriate + Provide Market Analysis for Sales, Order Book and Margin profiles with detailed support. + Lead the Annual Profit Planning & Strategic Planning cycles; advise plant manager on financial implications of operating strategies, cost control actions and decisions. + Respond to ad hoc reporting requests & leads ad hoc projects as required + Ensure Titchfield Plant awareness of upcoming reporting deadlines and co-ordinate activities to ensure adherence to the deadlines set. + Monitor and maintain integrity of financial data and supporting sub-systems. + Ensure compliance with Eaton Corporate Policies and Procedures as well as local GAAP, statutory & fiscal requirements. + Monitor and maintain Sarbanes Oxley compliance, manage internal SOX auditing, and support any external audits. + Directs journal processing and account reconciliation to the Oracle Finance system, with accurate and fully supported detail enabling Balance Sheet reviews. Assesses adequacy of financial reserves. Ensures finance team are adequately trained and supervised. Understand, Develop and Review the overhead rates to ensure accuracy of inventory costing and reporting Evaluate and approve plant capital appropriation requests prior to division and corporate management approval. Monitor and report purchase commitments and spending for all capital programs. Conduct follow-up audits to ensure compliance for all significant capital investments. Manage hiring, training and development of plant financial staff. Manages the deployment of cost saving & other programs to provide operating economies & improve profitability including Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
