Job Description

Role Summary: Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Specialist - Intelligent Production Systems (IPS) supporting the Product Line as part of our European Geomarket operations. This is ultimately a field position and involves interacting with various Engineering, AMO, Quality, HSE and Supply Chain functions onshore and offshore however the first 6 months will be spent in the workshop in Aberdeen. Essential Responsibilities: + Under broad directionbecomes proficient in running most Intelligent Production Systemsapplications including down hole gauge and chemical injection systems + Continues to expandand apply application knowledge and expertise to include applications ofincreasing complexity and/or risk in Intelligent Production Systems and/orother product groups + Ensures suppliedequipment is compatible with all other equipment used for job + Provides front-linesupport with customer and accurately completes all paperwork prior to orupon completion of job + Uses experience andknowledge of applications to ensure products and services are of highestquality + Advises and troubleshoots on Intelligent Production Systems issues in the district + Conducts on-the-jobtraining as required + Handles specialprojects as assigned + Conducts all businessactivities in accordance with BH HSE policies, Legal Compliancerequirements and BH Core Values Qualifications/Requirements: + HND or recognizedApprenticeship in mechanical, electrical or electronic discipline isessential + Basic knowledge ofdrilling and completion techniques and drilling/work over rig operationsis preferred but not essential. + Basic knowledge ofFibre Optics is advantageous + Ability to work welland communicate well with others + Willingness to travel,often at short notice to site or offshore Desired Characteristics: + Ability to work well and communicate well with others.
