By joining Emerson as a Field Service Manager, you will play a meaningful role in delivering our quality valve repair and maintenance service to customers, by coordinating the field team of technicians. In this role you will: * Supervise the day-to-day work of the field service team; * Ensure all activities are performed safely and accurately according to all relevant legislation, policies and company guidelines; * Perform daily duties (including dismantling valves, inspection and re-working of valve components, valve re-build, testing and calibration of ancillary equipment) in accordance with established procedures; * Prepare valve repair work scopes and planning of parts requirements; * Fill in paper and system-based records accurately and in a timely manner including but not limited to Field Service Reports, Test Certification, expense reports; * Take part in problem solving and root cause analysis exercises as required; * Contribute to the continuous improvement of all field related activities; For this role you will need: * Minimum of NC/ SVQ L3 in Engineering, complemented by relevant apprenticeship or a recognised Mechanical/Engineering qualification; * Experience in a similar role with leadership/management responsibilities; * A pro-active attitude and logical approach to problem solving, even when working under pressure; * Proven ability to prioritize and flexibility to change priorities with speed and accuracy; * Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication (both written and verbal); * Good organisation and administration skills; * Excellent knowledge of MS office is helpful; * Openness to work in a team and be a standout colleague; Our Offer to You By joining Emerson as a Field Service Manager , you will be working at the heart of our business.
