The Strategic Project Manager is a newly created key position(s) responsible for leading and supporting both strategic and tactical projects in multiple areas of the organization to achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction, develop new business opportunities and global capabilities, drive innovation, and optimize structural efficiency and effectiveness -- all with the ultimate goal of achieving ASA's business growth objectives and P&L goals. Multiple projects are already defined, and many more will be launched/modified going forward as the business evolves. To accomplish this mission, the Aftermarket Strategic Project Managers (2) will report to the Executive Director, while interacting daily with the ASA leadership team to define and execute projects for their respective functions and/or the broader organization. The position will require strong influence ability and will be intensively hands-on, as there will be continuous collaboration and action planning/management/completion working with a broad spectrum of team members throughout the Actuation Systems' global locations as well as other businesses within Collins Aerospace and company headquarters. ASA is headquartered in Wolverhampton, UK, and leverages its six European facilities, one American facility and a network of multiple global affiliates (Customer Services sites) to provide a range of aftermarket solutions to approximately 1000 customers globally. The business delivers new and used serviceable spare parts, performs best-in-class repair services as part of their Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) capabilities, and is responsible for Entry Into Service (EIS) / field support for the full range of ASA's platforms and products. Main Responsibilities + Immediately take on responsibility for various projects in progress across multiple functional areas, and as well as the total scope of all project requirements. + Utilize best project management practices to command full list of initiatives, and actively monitor/drive progress and execution -- everything from setting up meetings, action planning and supporting team members with miscellaneous elemental tasks to conducting market research to participating in senior level discussions/debate with executives in Actuation Systems and other Collins Aerospace businesses and headquarters, etc. + Develop and maintain good relationships with all Actuation Systems sites, and continuously identify additional opportunities for improvement. + Lead regular progress reviews, and communicate status internally regarding progress/status, before/after results/performance, etc. + Incorporate ACE tool usage and continuous improvement philosophy into all aspects of projects. **Requirements:** **Candidate Profile** Aftermarket Services Actuation (ASA) is looking for an individual(s) who have the following experience, knowledge and skills : + Work experience in fast-moving or evolving business area(s), or Business Development / Strategy roles; Operational Excellence skill set would be an asset + Experience in aftermarket operations (MRO, Spares) desirable + Change agent mindset / change management experience would be an asset + PMO/PMP desirable + Aviation experience would be an asset + Proven relationship builder with good influencing skills + Negotiation skills + Good communicator at all levels + Supporting team player with ability to drive results + Big picture thinker, with strong attention to detail + Highly adaptable + Ability to work in a multicultural environment + Willingness to travel (in Europe mainly, North America and some Asia-Pacific) + Strong engagement, self-motivation and sense of accountability + Experience with project management software or
