Job Description
BMR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Software Manager to work for our client who are a widely established leading manufacturer of high specification control equipment for a variety of industries. Position: Software Manager Salary: Circa £55,000 - £65000 Job Type: Permanent- Full time Location: Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Chippenham, Gloucester, Cheltenham Benefits: Pension, Bonus, Car Allowance Sector: PLC / SCADA / HMI / CONTROL SYSTEMS / NETWORKING / PROGRAMMING Overview: We are currently seeking a Software Manager with experience in leading a team of 10-12 Software Engineers within a Controls environment. The Software Manager will be commercially astute and looking to move away from a hands-on Engineering role and step up into a Managerial position with budgetary and financial responsibility. You will manage approximately 10-12 Software Engineers and have overall responsibility for the allocation of time and resources to ensure project are completed on time and within budget You will be expected to build long term relationships with clients and colleagues. The Software Manager is expected to be in the office for approximately 3-4 days a week with the remaining time on site visiting customers. Person Specification: Extensive software engineering experience within the engineering sector Embedded Software PLC / SCADA / HMI programming Rockwell/S'mens/Mitsubishi WinCC, TIA People Management Skills Scheduling and work flow reporting Experience of the water industry would be high advantageous as would mining, power generation, energy systems automotive and FMCG experience Network Topology and configuration of network devices BMR Solutions acts in the capacity of an Employment Business and an Employment Agency.
