European Engineering Manager Salary - 95,104 - 144,156 + 7500 car allowance + 25% bonus Location: Mars Food, Paddington Office, 4 Kingdom Street, London, W2 6BD We have a great opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our European food team. This role will be based in the UK and is responsible for the delivery of agreed projects, supporting the operation plan for Mars Food Europe as well as defining our strategy & setting our targets. In this role you will: + Be a key member of the Global Food Engineering Team supporting the development and execution of the European Operating Plan by providing a clear and supportive capital projects strategy + Have Governance of all projects in the region. Deliver the CAB regarding phasing, FAA, Expense delivered according to plan as agreed with S&F. + Provide leadership and line manage the direct team as well develop the capability of site technical teams (engineering and maintenance) + Take part in the Quarterly reviews of the different Food sites upon request + Support developing a talent pipeline within the technical community in Food. + Contribute at shaping the 3-5 yr. plans for the CAB in accordance with the business needs focused on the European region + Ensure and promote a structured way of working in projects, make sure proper project management is applied + Assess and review projects from a technical but also business perspective + Actively support global initiatives on standardisation and sustainability + Encourage cooperation with other segments and maintain the network within the technical community of Mars but also with external partners. + Be sponsor of special projects related to technology area's + Be part of steering team's in reviewing projects To do this role you'll need: + Degree Level qualification in Engineering + Significant experience in an Engineering role at senior level + Experience in leading projects above a budget of 10million + Detailed understanding of Food safety regulations with particular regards to sterilisation and pasteurising processes. + Substantial experience in managing teams from across a multitude of different areas + Proven ability to build and develop effective teams + To be a highly engaging and clear communicator In return we offer: + Competitive Salary & Benefits + Flexible Working + A focus on personal development and opportunity to grow in this role and future roles.
