Job title: Assistant Manager Package: Up to £35k Location: North Bristol Reporting to: Practice Manager Hours: Full time About our Client Our client is a rapidly growing accountancy practice based in North Bristol (currently enjoying home working!), whose client portfolio comprises growing SMEs across the country ranging from start-ups to much larger groups of companies. Due to their continued success and growth they are now looking to recruit anoutgoingqualified accountantwithaccountancypractice experiencewho has ambitions towork in an entrepreneurial environment. Job Description The role will be client facing and involve using cloud software and apps to assist with clients' compliance needs along with ad hoc projects. The expectation is that you will grow with the firm. Key responsibilities: * Preparation of limited company year-end accounts (FRS102) and associated corporation tax returns using TaxCalc * Preparation of sole trader accounts and personal tax returns * To be point of contact for clients on a daily basis in relation to their companies * Assist with client set-up on Xero and other accounting software * Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts including bank reconciliations * Managing the on-boarding process of new clients including obtaining professional clearances * Assisting junior members of the team with more complex accounting issues * Production of monthly or quarterly management accounts for clients including commentaries * Production of budgets (profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow) for clients The Successful Applicant You will be an ambitious accountant with experience of working in an accountancy practice. Requirements include: * ACCA/ACA - recently qualified or 1 years PQE * Excellent knowledge of Xero * Knowledge of preparing Statutory Accounts under FRS102 * Payroll and CIS experience advantageous * An inquiring analytical mind and ability to work under own initiative * Good communicator with ability to forge strong relationships with clients and colleagues * Planning and time management * Ability to drive to client premises * Ability to delegate work to junior staff to ensure client deadlines are met A rtemis Clarke Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
