Job Description

VVB Engineering provide M&E installation services for a variety of industries, including Tunnelling, Rail and Power and Utilities. We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Estimator to join our Work Winning team in Chelmsford. This is an integral role within the team, focussing on producing accurate and timely electrical estimates for a range of sectors, ensuring they're in-line with the overall business strategy and goals. Key Responsibilities: * Obtain competitive quotations from sub-contractors and suppliers * Review and analyse drawings and any other tender documentation to prepare estimates * Review and incorporate historical data on labour levels and productivity, to reflect true costs of labour * Coordinate the electrical database for pricing and labour units * Work in-conjunction with procurement to maintain a directory of electrical suppliers and pricing * Liaise with internal stakeholders such as design and operations on specific tender requirements * Attend pre and post tender meetings, as required * Present estimates to clients, as and when required What we're looking for: * Previous and current experience within an Electrical Estimator position * Experience working within a Mechanical and Electrical contractor * Ability to read and interpret drawings * Adept knowledge of Electrical principles * Knowledge of estimating best practices and methodologies * Electrical degree qualification, or equivalent * Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels within the business Responsibilities: VVB Engineering provide M&E installation services for a variety of industries, including Tunnelling, Rail and Power and Utilities.
