Diesel Generator Electrical Engineer - Chelmsford, Essex Salary: 40,000 p.a. The Company Our client is a family run business who have been trading for almost 40 years. They specialise in new and used generators, which customers can order for immediate delivery. The Role Our client is looking to recruit a Diesel Generator Electrical Engineer who will be primarily based in Chelmsford working within their superb facility with huge showrooms and workshops. The successful candidate will need to be qualified in wiring control panels and ATS panels. Role Responsibilities: The role will be a static position based in Chelmsford, Essex with the occasional breakdown/repair needed throughout the south of England. Speaking to customers regarding any servicing or fault queries. Occasionally travelling across the UK to inspect generators that my client is looking to purchase and following up with a detailed report. Essential Skills Requirements: Several years experience in all types of generator repairs, maintenance and electrical control panels. Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Basic I.T skills and the ability to use a laptop to configure control panels on generators, including use of the Cat E-Tool. Experience in load testing and load banking of all generators. Electric diagnostic skills. Qualified in wiring control panels and ATS panels, such as: Deep Sea Electronics, Power Wizard Woodward. Ability to diagnose fault finding and recommend how faults, if any, can be corrected. Experience with the following diesel engines: Caterpillar, Perkins, JCB, Cummins and Iveco. Ability to work on own initiative. Excellent time keeping skills and who would be prepared to work overtime, should it be required. Full UK driving licence.
