Junior DevOps Engineer | Lincoln | 25,000 - 35,000 | full time, permanent About the Job Are you a developer or operations engineer who is ready to take the next step in your career? Join us as a Junior DevOps engineer. We will train you in the role and support your professional development, funding AWS training and certifications. You will become familiar with the DevOps culture and Cloud Computing and build on your existing skill set, supported by the team. Working in a growing team, you will use toolchain technologies like Ansible and Terraform. Infrastructure as Code is an important part of our ethos. We have a range of projects waiting for you, including:- * Provisioning infrastructure for new services in AWS Fargate * Telemetry is vital to ensure our stack is healthy. We currently use Datadog for monitoring and alerting, but we would rather be using tools like Prometheus and Grafana * Developing utilities and automation tools in Python and Bash, as part of 'keeping the lights on' We love the Agile Lean approach, and will empower you to make decisions and build solutions. What are we looking for? Attitude is a key requirement. You must be keen to learn and be driven by cloud technology and the ability to improve systems. You will be expected to hit the ground running and take an active role in the team. To address this challenge we use AWS Fargate to host our Containers, and have developed an impressive scaling algorithm in Python.
