Consulting with business partners in problem-definition, setting success metrics and shaping the way forward through data insights. As a Senior Data Analyst within the ground transportation unit you will gain a deep understanding of business problems, embrace a customer lens, and tackle problems with timely analytics and translate analytics vision and strategy into execution. You will provide reliable, and actionable insights to partners using effective communication methods tailored for your audience. In this role, you will be directly involved in enabling business improvements through your own insights / observations, you will own metrics and analytical/reporting improvements as well as being an influence on product and business goals. Your responsibilities Remit includes * Build a strong team within the area, by coaching and developing ICs * Able to prioritize work depending on business needs and keeping stakeholders aligned at all times * Translate analytics vision and strategy into execution keeping in mind the needs and specificities of the team and the scope Commercial Awareness: * Takes ownership and understands goals and objectives of supporting business partners, translating them into analytics requirements/frameworks Craft: * Drives implementation and deployment of complex project within their scope * Works closely with team members to ensure data quality, provide technical and tactical support, remove roadblocks and provide active support * Has excellent data visualization skills and storytelling, capable of driving actions from stakeholders (e.g. self-service visualization tools or slide decks) * proficient in coding principles (i.e. R, Python, SQL...); Data management (engineering, flows...) Communication: * Is capable of articulating complex concepts in simple terms to stakeholders * is the advocate of analytics with their main stakeholder(s) * Works closely with other internal entities to ensure their teams are always working to towards what's most important for customers and to achieve high business impact * Ensures clear and effective communication to their stakeholder: proactively keeps all stakeholders informed of what's happening, upcoming changes, project, issues, etc. Your skills and experience * Data-mining and analytical skills * Proficient with Microsoft Office (in particular, Excel) * Proficient with Google Analytics or equivalent web analytics software (ideally GAIQ) * Able to write simple SQL queries or programs to transform, shape and store data * You deliver accurate, meaningful and timely information, based on well thought through research * Experience driving self-sufficiency across different disciplines * Demonstrable experience as a thought partner / leader * An ability to use data to create a vision * Demonstrable ability to understand and link customer behaviours to business impact * You have strong analytical skills with financial acumen, and the ability to see opportunities & threats * Able to balance the need for accuracy and efficiency * You are a very good communicator especially when clarifying requirements and handling expectations with non-technical and less data-savvy colleagues Desirable skills/experience * Experience of working in / for an ecommerce organisation * Cross-device analytical experience (Mobile / Desktop / Tablet / App) * Experience using R or other stats packages * Strong knowledge of statistical methods and data / web analysis software * Google Tag Manager * Power BI / Tableau * App analytics experience * Google BigQuery Benefits * 25 vacation days (rising to 28) to go exploring * Generous accommodation discount, so you can e
