As they have built and are continuing to build an ecommerce platform that has had over £20m invested, they are at a point now where they need additional dedicated support for performance and reliability of their highly available and highly transactional platform. With the recent hire of the Head of DevOps and the support of the Performance Architect you will have all the tools and people around to make sure that you can do you job without hesitation and really own this specific function within the company. We are looking to you to provide the best in service of performance and reliability for a platform which is due to be used by a multibillion-pound business in the 2020. A little disclaimer here, the following technology is all that can, will be and is used by the department to carry out day to day running - we are looking for someone who would easily pick this up or has been in place at a similar position with different tech. Being a technical role, you will need a good working knowledge of various technology such as Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, C#, .NET and various database systems. This multi-faceted role will also include various operational tech such as Zabbix, Nagios, Splunk, ELK and Prometheus.
