Position: Business Development Manager / Apprenticeship Consultant Market: Further Education & Apprenticeships (Digital & Accounting) Location: Stevenage & Hertfordshire Package: £30,000 - £35,000 plus OTE of £12-15k Is a consultative hunter even a thing? Apprenticeship sales isn't exactly full of quick wins and one phone call deals, but then, you're already going to know that as you've been working in the market for a while and have built that understanding for yourself. You're target market is going to be SME employers and Small Levy employers across the Hertfordshire & Home Counties area. The main Apprenticeship programmes you will be selling spread across the Digital & Accounting portfolios at level 3 and 4. So in fact, you might actually find you do get a few one call deals, but many of it will be about consulting with your prospect employers, selling the benefits of utilising apprentices and tailoring a provision that suits them. This is going to be predominantly a new business focused role, hence why we are looking for someone who can hunt, and isn't afraid of getting stuck in to source and convert their own leads. The business is a small training provider based in Hertfordshire. They have seen a sustained period where they have been comfortable in the market with a good reputation within their own client base. Now is the time to push this forward, and grow their business to the next stage. Enter - a new sales team. With a new director joining the business with a great deal of experience across apprenticeships and a track record of starting up/growing smaller providers, they are looking to develop a successful sales team which will be vital in the future plans of this business. Hard work, high reward. Sounds pretty straight forward considering it's a sales role. You will be targeted with 7-10 starts a months, and rewarded well with an OTE of £12-15k per year on top of your salary. You will be based in the home counties yourself, or within commutable distance to Stevenage. Once we are allowed, you will spend a mixture of your time within the office and remote. Early days will be more officed based unless out with client of course, but we need someone who can live and breathe across the Home Counties apprenticeship market and sniff out some create new clients. Not just the financial incentive, but through the company growth will come the opportunity for you to grow into more of a Sales Manager role as you head up your own growing team of BDMs/Apprenticeship Consultants.
