Commercial Business Analyst Stevenage Up to 45k dependant on experience StormX are delighted to be working with an established local employer who have seen exceptional growth and continued investment in recent years. Reporting to the Head of Commercial and supporting the wider commercial team you will be responsible for collating, interpreting and sharing market data internally and externally to the business customers. The individual will be responsible for liaising with customers ensuring excellent commercial relationships and will have direct responsibility for the insight function within the business. You will ideally have working knowledge of leading data and insights software such as Kantar and IRI and knowledge of Dunhumby and Aimia would be beneficial but not essential. You will be confident in your ability to turn data into actionable insights and incorporating that into meaningful presentations. You will be degree educated and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, namely Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. Crucial to the role will be your ability to maintain an effective level of communication with all business units across multiple levels and liaise across multi business streams where appropriate to build across business relations. Key duties: Collate performance data on all customers and the general market Understand, interpret and develop insight leading to action points and communicate internally to the appropriate teams Communicate market performance with business customers to their preferred level of detail Maintain the data base for accuracy and practicality Complete the monthly operating review for the business and communicate appropriately with commentary to support Responsible for comp shops, reviewing each customer for changes to product. Interpret findings and compile a review and distribute internally. Communicate with each customer to their preferred level of detail Be available for ad hoc requests to support business performance and new opportunities. Be proactive at spotting trends and interpreting data ahead of customer requests Perform promotional analysis with results and commentary around the performance In conjunction with the account manager, perform category updates for customers utilising all forms of data Additional core skills: Experience using SQL databases would be advantageous, but not essential Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Support teams with knowledge and experience to enhance their performance.
