Editec are a fast-expanding company operating across Africa. We are looking for result orientated, highly self-motivated commercially minded people with a passion for Online, being the ears on the ground for the online team (including Head of Marketing, Head of Gaming and Sports, Head of Payments, Head of Service Delivery and Customer Service). The role will include regional travel and will eventually entail managing a team of regional/country online commercial managers.Editec are a fast-expanding company operating across Africa. Job Summary: The Country Managers will help drive, develop and implement a robust online product supporting the London/Malta online teams but driving their plans to the regional markets. This function will have responsibility of gathering and relaying customer feedback and delivery of consistent customer experience in line with Editecs requirements and plans. Responsibilities: * Positively engage with online stakeholders and create network of contacts to grow the online business * Work in partnership with local Operations Managers but notify them and get buy-in for online plans being driven from London, Malta and the online teams; including cross sell from retail/network to online * Feedback data and information including competitor analysis in regional markets with proposals to help drive planning and support initiatives of the London/Malta online team * Cross sell and upsell online to grow the business and highlight the necessity for online focus * Commercially minded with basic knowledge of simplifying customer journey from sign up to retention * Gradually drive the implementation and improve the operational framework for the delivery of a leading online gaming platform for Editec and partners at all touch points * Assist online team with testing new products and advising on market suitability * Ensure all new products and services as delivered by the online team in Europe are successfully implemented * Manage the relationship between Editec Online team (Malta) and key internal and external stakeholders and customers * The Country Manager will support, develop and implement a fully profitable and pleasant engaging gaming service to customers in regional markets, supporting the local teams * Overall management and support to the Gaming Specialist with competitor analysis and report sharing of local trends and rolling out initiatives and plans from the Online team * Implement a framework for proactively identifying opportunities for the Editec business and industry * Effective management of budget and profitable costs to ensure optimal utilisation of the online budget * Eventually responsibility for online field force by region based on profitability and future growth/prospects * Key is for Ops Managers to hand over online involvement and just to provide soft regional guidance on online marketing approach * Cross sell and upsell the online business to grow it * Run regular customer focus groups * Assist payments team where necessary (in regional payments/integration) * Mostly work remotely, but have finger on the pulse on local markets, give suggestions, look at local competition Requirements * At least 3 years experience working in online * Excellent commercial and fair technical understanding of online industry * Knowledge or experience in gambling industry * Excellent written and spoken communication skills Portuguese and English * Strong network of connections within online and mobile industry with relationship building * The applicant should hold a bachelors degree or recognised qualification in Marketing, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent Business discipline * At least three years experience in a Digital/Online environment * Experience in development and go-to-market of an online product * A qualification in Project Management/Planning/Strategy is an added advantage Personal Competencies: * The applicant should have knowledge of online products and gaming services; business process and internal policies and procedures * Organisational commitment and performance excellence skills * Strong leadership skills (manage both internal and external resources and results orientation) * Good public relations/relationship building, management report writing, strong presentation and communication skills * Strong emotional intelligence, teamwork, interpersonal and relationship building skills * Persuading, building, consensus negotiation and influencing skills * Networking, selling and marketing skills * A strategic thinker with strong analytical, visionary and problem-solving skills
