Head of Continuous Improvement Salary : Up to £90,000 (plus benefits) Location : Shepherds Bush, London with travel (remote working until further notice) Description My client, the UK's leading recipe box company and one of Europe's fastest growing independent companies has food and tech at the heart of what they do. Using industry-leading technology they deliver precise ingredients, delicious recipes and a dollop of adventure to thousands of homes across the UK. They are seeking a Head of Continuous Improvement with extensive supply chain experience who is able to effectively deliver significant change across the business. You have left a lasting legacy in previous roles and built teams that successfully embed principles of continuous improvement across every layer of the business. Thanks to your credibility and communication skills you are known for your ability to influence stakeholders at a strategic and shop floor level. You are a thought leader who is adept in operational best practices and your curiosity ensures that you stay at the forefront of innovation. What you'll do · Build a team that champions continuous improvement and is capable of delivering change across multiple sites. You will need to hire and onboard a team of continuous improvement managers and build project teams to focus on opportunities that will have the most meaningful impact on key metrics such as OTIF (On time in full) performance and cost to serve · Create a process for identifying and prioritising opportunities across our operation, primarily through the use of data and observation · You will develop a "playbook" for continuous improvement that is used not only to deliver change through your team but also to train and empower teams in our operation to deliver change · Through your leadership, coaching and mentoring you will inspire teams to drive value · Drive improvements to OTIF performance working with teams across production, warehousing, technology, analytics and engineering, you will create a prioritised backlog of initiatives that deliver improvement to OTIF, efficiency and colleague engagement · Ensure continuous improvement work feeds into our roadmap, whilst collaborating with our operational strategy team to ensure that the operating model constantly evolves to reflect our latest thinking Your skills and experience · Project management with a fundamental understanding of different project management methods and when/how best to deploy them · Commercial, analytical and able to prioritise between competing tasks quickly · An ability to quickly build valuable relationships that you leverage to take people with you through change · Certified in lean six sigma or other methodologies from a reputable institute or organisation. · Exceptional communicator at all levels of an organisation · Bonus points if you have previously built a team from scratch The Benefits · Holidays - 25 days of holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing by a day each year up to 30 days · Option to buy additional days of annual leave up to a total of 30 days · 40% staff discount and 25% for your family and friends · Healthcare via Babylon Health · Access Academy training courses · Gym Membership · Cycle to work scheme · Pension · Quarterly team socials and mixed team events · Coffee/ Tea, fruit and ice cream provided every single day to keep you fresh · Friday socials - Wine, beer and soft-drinks ...
