Job Description

What is the opportunity? The role of an Analyst is a key role within the Investment Counsellor team in supporting a team of Investment Counsellors (IC's) in communicating and delivering the BI investment offering to external and internal stakeholders (S&RM, PCFS and CEES) and clients. What will you do? * Keep up to date with developments in financial markets and share information with the IC team. * A detailed understanding of the investment solutions and services offered by BI Investments, including advisory (managed and non-managed), transactional, wealth advisory managed, and discretionary. * Awareness and understanding of tactical ideas from product specialists including equities, fixed income, FX, structured products, and global manager research. * Provide the IC team assistance and support in the delivery and execution of all investment-related activities. This includes and is not limited to - execution and booking trades for investments related products (direct equities, fixed income, ETF's, managed funds, hedge funds, FX, and structured products). * Ensure all investment-related requests/trades are carried out efficiently, timely, and in a professional manner. * Assist with proposal generation. * Proactively support IC's with client acquisition (in line with the S&RM Masterclass discovery, prospect meetings) and existing client retention - preparation of annual reviews, deal reviews, and client events, etc. * Assist with the analysis of pipeline data and in collaborating with RMs to ensure the integrity of Siebel data. * Accurate record-keeping of all client correspondence, KYC and documentation on central record-keeping systems, Siebel & Content Manager where appropriate. * Assist with the production and distribution of investment communications internally and externally i.e. the GPAC Monthly Slide Deck. * Any other reasonable task/project assigned. What do you need to succeed? Must-have * Educated to graduate level (or equivalent) or relevant industry experience. * Minimum level 3 qualification (CISI IAD, IMC). * FSA RDR/JFSC RFA compliant. * Excellent knowledge of RBC and/or industry policies and practices relating to trading investment products. * Maintain the minimum CPD requirement each year as per CISI policy. * Awareness of different asset classes and products including equities, bonds, hedge funds, FX, structured products.
