SQL Database Administrator - Renewable Energy SQL Database Administrator - SQL / DBA / Database - Edinburgh Roc Search are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join a highly successful team working for one of Europe's leading Renewable Energy suppliers based in Edinburgh. This is, at least initially, going to be a 12 month Fixed Term Contract They are expanding the team and are currently looking for a new SQL Database Administrator to come on board and be working on a variety of tasks and projects day to day. This is a new position - not a replacement - and as such you will have the opportunity to come on board, advise and make changes as needed, and really make the position your own. BAU work will include things such as account creation, patching, security, capacity management, logging etc There will be a range of responsibilities across the position including the following: * New data streams - integration tasks * Review the infrastructure and make suggestions of improvements that could (and should!) be made * Continuous reviews of the database setup - identifying any areas of weakness, isolate servers etc * Storage reviews, including reviewing the current architecture and suggesting any improvements needed (eventually leading to a cloud-based storage) * DR review - look at backup strategies, coverage and test This is an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to gain exposure to the Energy industry with great rewards, including bonus, healthcare, dental, pension and more.
