Overview
Are you an experienced Lead SQL-Server DBA looking for a new challenge and exciting role in the Edinburgh? Would you like the opportunity to work on a number of high-profile Technology and Change initiatives for one of the largest Pensions and Investments Companies in the UK leading a team and influencing senior stakeholders, in a practice where there is strong focus on empowerment and personal development? Within this role you will be part of a team of a technology and change team responsible for support of production, test and development environments through Oracle. You will also be working closely with management to set standards to improve the efficiency of the estate, providing technical consultancy to all SQL Server areas, take ownership of the SQL Server estate and co-author roadmaps for the architectural function. We are looking for: Technical experience of SQL Server Strong T-SQL Experience of DBMS best practice Proficient in Windows Operating systems Understanding of the development life cycle Proficient in the support and maintenance methods and licence management Have an understanding of other software and hardware that use database systems and how they work Experience of designing technical solutions In addition to competitive base salaries our client also offers an excellent benefits package including bonus, flexible working and realistic development and career progression opportunities.
