Job Description
Welcome to Bossa Studios! An immensely talented, daring, multicultural team of individuals (or as we like to call ourselves - Bossians! ), who create extraordinary games that millions of people love, play and share every day. Chances are, you know us as that quirky, London-based studio behind several critically acclaimed, YouTube-renowned hits, many of which have become an integral part of gaming meme culture ( Shhh I doctor now! ). These include Surgeon Simulator , I Am Bread , the BAFTA-winning Monstermind , and the yet to be launched Pigeon Simulator . As part of Bossas Senior Management Team, reporting to the COO you will be responsible for overseeing the QA discipline within the studio, working with both QA technicians and Producers to ensure we have a robust and forward looking approach to QA. You will be a seasoned QA professional with a great track record in video games, looking to make your next move up and take on a new challenge. Additionally you will be comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment, familiar with treading the fine line between quality, time and costs. While most games studios are mainly driven by their bottom-line, Bossa is leading a movement of creativity-first. We create together. We laugh together. We innovate together. Responsibilities * Leadership. Motivating a team of highly skilled individuals to excel * Managing. Managing a team of QA Technicians and mentoring them to grow and improve as individuals and as a group * Communication. Maintaining robust and frequent communications with the QA team, peers and management * Planning. Production planning and tracking for the QA team * Budget. Budget planning and tracking for QA projects * Risk management. Tracking and management of any risks to QA projects * Reporting. Making sure all stakeholders are kept aware of the status of QA projects * Awareness. Maintaining up to date QA process and market awareness, ensuring that we remain optimised and competitive in our approach to QA * Innovation.
