Job Description
Infrastructure Team Leader - Windows, PowerShell, Exchange Online - Global Co. ** Our client will interview, offer and on-board all remotely ** Our client is a global organisation that delivers a multitude of media services into the financial services market place, with offices in London, Hong Kong and NY to name a few! With over 2,000 employees across 20 global offices you will be working within an Infrastructure team of circa 10 people with three of the team being lead by YOU. Your team focus on Wintel Server Infrastructure incorporating Exchange Online and O365 and Azure services. This is 80% hands on tech role and 20% management role you will be leading, directing and managing a team of infrastructure engineers who you will also be working alongside on the day to day infrastructure needs. This is a newly created role with the business essentially to alleviate the Infrastructure Manager's workload. As this is newly created role you will have the chance to put your stamp on things and technical ideas initiatives and responsibilities are encouraged! The core environment is an enterprise Windows Server & AD (increasingly Azure AD), O365 cloud/Exchange Online. As a result, there is also a great deal of emphasis in this role on automation and utilising PowerShell etc to improve and streamline the processes for the circa 2000 users. If you have experience working in an enterprise scale environment or similar positions, then this role is for you. Main Responsibilities: * Windows Server 2012/2016 (500+ server environment) * PowerShell - Automation is key! * VMware vSphere and Site Recovery Manager (responsibilities slowly reducing as servers shift into the Azure ecosystem) * Exchange 2016 - but more important Exchange Online / Office365 administration * Managing Azure AD, Active Directory, Azure AD and ADFS * Maintaining our server rooms and data centres * Ensuring that our infrastructure monitoring is correctly tuned * SolarWinds or other monitoring platforms Technical (Desirable): * Team Lead in previous roles * Azure ecosystem * NetBackup data protection technologies * McAfee EPO and security policies * Linux would be beneficial * Understanding of SSL/TLS, ciphers and certificates Projects you will be involved with: * Closing corporate data centres and moving everything into Azure Cloud environments * Telephony migration to Microsoft Teams * Integrating a newly acquired business of 100 employees into the corporate IT domain.
