Our global trading offices are staffed by experienced traders who count Gas, Crude Oil, Light and Middle Distillates, as well as Bitumen, as their specialties. The traders are supported by skilled shipping and financial operations personnel, headquartered in Athens. Responsibilities * Assist with posting of journal entries in the books and ensure completeness/accuracy of books * Issue sales invoices and update records * Analyze/reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts on an ongoing basis and for period/year-end closings * Keep track of overheads, allocate/recharge to different group entities and prepare monthly G&A analysis * Check employees' expenses reports and arrange settlement * Assist with office expenses payments * Prepare financial information and supporting schedules as part of the quarter-end reporting and year-end audit * Oversight of one junior accountant * Other projects as assigned Requirements * Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance * Strong understanding of accounting systems * 6+ years accounting/finance experience * Experience in the oil/energy industry preferred * Highly detail oriented and organized in work * Ability to meet assigned deadlines * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications * Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees and management * Excellent manner of English language
