The Opportunity: The Royal Oldham hospital has 560 beds plus Christie and has undergone major developments with a full refurbishment of the Emergency department including a dedicated paediatric area, a new Women's & Children's unit including a tertiary neonatal unit and new medical assessment unit with a purpose built Ambulatory care area. During 2018 the Emergency department saw 106,215 patients including 26,000 children and 30,000 ambulances. In addition to dealing with the regions case load, the Emergency department has an active research program within the department including participation in HALT-IT and CRASH 3. There are regional research monies available, for which all staff are eligible. Experience required: * Primary medical qualification, eg MbChB, FRCEM or evidence of equivalent training and experience * Full registration with the GMC * Inclusion on the specialist register /admission to the register within 6 months of interview * Formally recognised as a Clinical Supervisor as defined by the GMC Trainer standards or within 3 months of completion * Exceptional clinical experience, sound judgement and the ability to form strong working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams * Effective team player and able to cope under pressure, often with conflicting demands, Flexible and adaptable to change * Promote a culture of innovation and improvements For further information please read the full job description and person specification attached.
