MarketFinance, one of the UK's leading FinTech's, is looking for a Junior Collections Administrator (20-25k) to be the backbone of a team in charge of assessing credit and fraud risk. Who you'll be working with You'll report to Chris, a Specialist who's passionate about Restructuring, Insolvency and supporting UK SMEs. Outside of work you're likely to find him following Leicester City FC or using his holiday to explore new destinations. Working in a small team you'll be helping to deliver a robust and scalable collections process whilst meeting the needs of our customers and investors. What you'll be doing In this role, you'll be providing essential support which enables the Collections team to accurately monitor agreements with debtors, prepare for formal insolvency procedures and build a robust and scalable internal process. This is a great opportunity for personal development with training and mentoring from your manager to take your financial/lending administration or credit control expertise to the next level. We'll trust you to prepare, check, register and file legal/security documentation while keeping all risk records and databases up to date. You will initially shadow the Collection Specialists and learn to confidently contact debtors to confirm validity of invoice and payment of the overdue trade. You will learn to liaise with clients to ensure repayment of overdue trades. The Collections team will look to you to undertake vital administration which will be key to successful recovery of debts and abiding by strict legal frameworks. Part of your day-to-day responsibilities will be to assist in making sure payments are received from customers in a timely manner, support the collections specialists daily with all manners of the collection process and effectively manage all manners of administration within the collections team. Our collections rate is consistently lower than the industry standard and your work here will be an essential part of our ability to maintain that. We know you're independent but you're also a great collaborator which is why you'll be the Sales and Customer Success teams' go-to person for collections-related queries. You'll build strong relationships in a variety of areas, collaborating with the Operations and Investor teams as well as regularly liaising with Legal. Requirements You will preferably have relevant work experience in a financial / lending administration or credit control role. You're excited by the challenge of revolutionising business finance. You're analytical, have excellent attention to detail and can work in a high pressure environment.
