Job Description
## Overview Castleton Commodities International is hiring an Operations Analyst for our London Office. This position contributes to the operational processes, development of ad-hoc solutions and where appropriate, to the operational and commercial activities related to our European Natural Gas activity. The candidate will assist with daily activities such as Energy Scheduling, Profit and Loss analysis, position reconciliation, development of ad-hoc reports and the technical development of operational tools. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to energy trading. ## Responsibilities Responsibilities * Ensure the daily and hourly balancing of the company on the different European Power & Gas market areas. * Assist in the setup of markets, products or scheduling systems relating to Power & Gas. * Produce, in a timely manner, position and PL related reports. * Assist in the reconciliation of the trading activity. * Develop ad-hoc operational analysis reports ## Qualifications Education : * Bachelor's degree required, MSc or a PhD preferred. * Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Economics or related fields preferred. Skills: * Excellent quantitative and statistical skills. * Very strong desire to learn energy trading areas. * Effective and clear English verbal and written communication skills, any other languages a plus. * Ability to interact with all managerial levels. * Good IT knowledge (Python, VBA, SQL). * Professional experience in commodity trading not required but an advantage. * Very strong work ethics Please Note: This position requires occasional weekend work, done on a rotation basis. #LI-LH1 Category: Operations Type: Regular Full-Time
