A career in our Tax Reporting and Strategy practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients' tax departments redesign, redefine, and redeploy tax to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You'll focus on assisting clients incorporate increased automation in the tax reporting process, increase analytic capabilities through data integration, and create solid internal controls that will enable the Tax function to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making. Our team helps our clients expand the tax role to include research, analytics, and technologies to improve how their organisation collaborates and performs. You'll focus on enhancing the tax reporting process by incorporating increased automation, integrating quality data, developing analytic capabilities, and utilising technology to deliver better quality output in less time. As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include: * Assisting in the execution of the tax technology program and vision from an application development perspective. * Responsible for application development, application support and to drive automation in the tax practice. * Responsible for technical analysis of new and existing automation features. * Manage clients' relationships that will include responsibility for developing new and innovative tax solutions * Assist with tax strategy in areas including tax planning for founders, start-ups, international expansion and M&A * Coordinate and team with a group of diverse multidisciplinary professionals from within tax and other specialties * Assist with the automation and digitization of the Tax Function at clients in areas such as Tax Compliance, Tax Disputes, Tax Planning and Tax Reporting. * Assisting other areas of tax such as Indirect Tax, Transfer Pricing, Corporate Tax and US Tax on their technology initiatives. * Develop industry specific knowledge and innovation into emerging technologies such as Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the context of the tax function. Requirements: * An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work * Strong Web Development experience with HTML/Javascript/CSS/Ajax * Good knowledge of SharePoint, Python and Python Web framework, RPA tools (UiPath is preferred), Basic knowledge of SQL Server and Cloud (AWS & Google Cloud, Azure) * Hold a bachelor's degree and have approximately 2-3 years of relevant work experience * Have an awareness or experience of process automation technology, visualization tools, business and tax compliance, tax provision and advisory processes. * Have an interest in tax process improvement, tax risk management, and technology solution implementation. * Possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication, and project management skills. * Exposure in advanced Excel features such as PowerQuery, PowerPivot and PowerBI. * Have proven experience in analysing problems, identifying root cause issues, and investigating and evaluating solutions. * Be self-motivated and have the ability to work without supervision. * Be able to demonstrate an ability to work as a team, and to collaborate across a
