Title: AAT Accounts Apprentice Job Type: Two year contract Working with: Colleagues in Business Group Please note that this is a school leaver programme. Summary An enthusiastic and motivated candidate with excellent A-level results is required to provide support to assistant managers, managers and senior managers within this dynamic and fast growing Audit & Accounts department. The role involves working with a wide variety of clients including employees, entrepreneurs and high-net worth individuals, with a mixture of international and domestic financial affairs. This would suit an ambitious candidate with a desire to further their education with a professional qualification whilst receiving relevant experience and on-the-job training within a top London practice. For candidates, excellent communications skills are a must, as are the personal skills necessary to work as a team member and maintain good relations with clients. It is expected that candidates will be able to demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills and will be self-motivated. Working with a wide range of clients from multinational businesses to entrepreneurs, the role will suit an ambitious candidate who wishes to study for a professional qualification whilst receiving on the job training. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to start a career in accountancy, allowing you to gain a qualification and valuable experience. Once the AAT is completed, you will continue to study and take ACCA exams, and qualify as an accountant. Duties will include: * preparing management accounts for companies * Using various accounts packages including SAGE, Quickbooks, Caseware and Excel * Preparation of VAT returns * Processing of monthly/weekly payroll * Regular contact with clients by phone/email and in person * Assistance with personal tax returns * General office assistance including filing. Requirements Academic Requirements * Strong GCSE results (minimum grade B or equivalent in Maths and English) * Strong A Levels (minimum of 280 UCAS points in at least one numerical subject such as Maths, Statistics or Physics) * Support will be given to study for the AAT qualification Skills, key competencies and personal attributes required * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Excellent team player * Numerate * Attention to detail and pride in work produced * Eager to learn and progress * well organised * Good IT skills Benefits In addition to a competitive remuneration package, Blick Rothenberg also encourages and provides continued professional development.
