Project Director Water Utilities UK Royal HaskoningDHV is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Project Director to support and manage the Water Utilities in the UK. As a people-orientated manager, he or she will - together with a dedicated team of committed professionals - develop and execute strategic business plans in order to expand the portfolio of products and services for these key accounts in the UK. Our municipal water business include existing and new consultancy activities, innovative products and technologies and cutting edge digital solutions and services. You will translate corporate business strategies and policies into local business development and sales activities in order to grow and expand the business within this market segment. Qualifications / Knowledge: Bachelor's or Master Degree in management or business administration Strong background in chemical, mechanical and/or civil engineering In-depth knowledge of municipal water, wastewater and sludge and is familiar with existing tools and practical applications within the sector. An existing network within the industry is considered a major asset for this role. The Project Director has a key-role to accommodate active generation and development of project leads and opportunities. As a lead you'll provide guidance and support in offering proven solutions for standard problems and also develop creative approaches to deal with emerging and new challenges in the UK water sector. You'll also be involved in the expansion of our team including, recruiting of staff and reporting to senior management. Skills: Problem solving orientation Multitasking during time orientated delivery and stress management. Leadership, flexibility and communication abilities. Willingness to frequently travel within the UK and to the Netherlands would be required. BIM (Building Information Modelling) As Royal HaskoningDHV operate projects with a BIM approach, you are expected to be aware of the UK BIM framework (previously known as BIM Level 2), your role within it and ideally have practical experience. If this is not the case, you will be expected to undertake the relevant training courses via our Digital Academy within your first 3 months of employment should you be successful.
