Job Description

We are looking to recruit Children's Nurses for flexible working in our Children and Families Division within the Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) via the Trust Bank, the organisation's temporary staffing department. BCHC delivers a range of healthcare services across a number of sites and specialties and the Trust Bank provides temporary cover to cover shortfalls in staffing and to support the delivery of the service. The Children's Nurse Bank post covers a number of areas including; Children's Complex Care Team Children's respite unit- Edgewood Road Children's Community Nurses Children's Palliative Nurses Special School Nurses. This post will provide an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical and management skills. We require talented people that share our commitment and compassion for the children and young people that we serve and can help us maintain high standards of service delivery. You will need excellent communication skills and a caring nature. The main delay in a recruitment process is often is confirmation of Employment History or References. Please be aware that this post requires completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) form. Due to recent changes in law, the DBS operate a system of 'Single Certification' whereby only a copy of the certificate / disclosure is issued to candidates and not to Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as the employer. You are therefore advised that upon receipt of the DBS certificate/disclosure, you are required to provide the original copy to a member of the Centralised recruitment Team at Priestley Wharf.
