Job Description

At Sofology we do things different. We want to flip the sofa industry on its head and change the game; to make this happen, our Sofologists need to be different too. Forget about pen pushers and clock-watchers, our people are super smart, intelligent and switched on! The Role: You will be responsible for providing an in-house inspection and repair service, including fault diagnosis, cause analysis and in-depth repair solutions. You will inspect furniture to the highest standard, correctly identify faults listed on service technician's reports and other paperwork. Additionally, you will carry out all necessary repairs and complete detailed reports supported with digital photographs. Key Responsibilities: To offer and carry out a factory inspection and repair process to the highest possible level To ensure all repairs meet the required quality standard and are free from defect To monitor the type of issues coming through the department in order to identify reoccurring problems To investigate reoccurring issues and offer solutions or modifications to prevent this type of issue in the future To make observations of the effects of packing, loading and transporting and offer advice on how to improve it To make certain all relevant information has been gathered to ensure that all required work has been carried out correctly To take responsibility for the issue through the repair process and guarantee its quality at the end What are we looking for: You will be a self-starter and keen to learn new skills Have a basic understanding of DIY and materials Excellent communication skills Previous experience in a similar role A positive and professional attitude to work Committed to carrying out tasks to the highest standards Experience in handling bulky goods is preferred A flexible approach to working hours is essential Responsibilities: At Sofology we do things different.
