Lead Developer, Manchester You are a Lead developer and you are looking to shift your work more towards the design and architect of new solutions? Then you will be pleased to know that this 4-part ecommerce platform that has been developed over the past 2 years requires additional features to be built and a retail integration to be completed. With a team of 55 developers we are looking to add additional more experienced architect focused developers who will work closely with them to deliver new functions over 2020. With £20m invested into building the platform, the team and environment geared towards a development first approach, you will be assured that you will have the latest tech and delivery to hand to do your job as easily as possible. This is a business built around having an employee first culture and making sure that where you are most of the day you enjoy and won't feel pressured to just code and get things done. They want quality and you to enjoy it at the same time. Having recruited 130 people in two years, it's safe to say they know how to onboard you in your new role, you will meet with each department and senior heads of to gain an understanding of how the business works and where you will fit into the delivery of the new platform. That brings me to the platform, it's not often you get the chance to join a company who is building something new, with the newest technology out there, that is small enough to adapt to technological change quickly and effectively. It's a high availability, high transactional platform which will be used by some of the biggest companies in the UK who are not only changing their online approach but also the retail focus and how that works concurrently with the online offering. The platform is mainly built using .NET back end with a React.js based front end with a MySQL DB. While there is much more to this platform around DevOps and CI/ CD as a developer or Architect you are backed up with a testing team of 25+ on and offshore.
