Interested? About the position: The Sales Director/VP is an individual contributor role. You will work to accelerate market penetration of commercial offerings through lead development, identification and qualification of prospects, sales presentations, negotiation and closing of new business. This job is about driving revenue and building long-term customer relationships. Plan to contribute new ideas, challenge the status quo, take risk, support change, and encourage innovation. What you'll do: * Identify and pursue new business opportunities with pharmaceutical client accounts and new brands and departments within existing accounts consistent with assigned targets * Lead capabilities presentations and pitches to potential customers. Develop new business proposals (including contributions to budget development) for potential new clients. Work with potential customers through all aspects of the sales process including negotiation of MSA/SOW * As a key member of the sales team, provide input into strategic and tactical business growth plans, including research/evaluation of pharmaceutical companies' products and pipelines, segmentation and targeting analyses * Work closely with product, client service and technology teams to assure strong collaboration across the Sermo team in support of client solutions * Develop a complete understanding of pricing and proposal models; demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge; effectively present the solutions to prospective clients * Build relationships and gain consensus among decision makers; sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients through the buying process, including development and deployment of the solutions * Meet sales objectives through innovative approaches to promotion, sponsorship, and client partnerships * Materially expand opportunity pipeline through outbound sales activity * Target key personnel in assigned accounts - develop strong relationships and networks * Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that clearly articulate how Sermo can help to solve prospects' business problems * Diligently maintain customer relationship management system (Salesforce) * Represent Sermo at conferences and similar events What's required: * Integrity, passion, high-energy, and positivity * 7+ years of proven success selling directly to pharmaceutical company commercial teams * Proven ability to open doors and close deals * Strong relationships with brand market research, marketing, commercial operations at pharmaceutical companies * Experience selling data, market research, analytics products and solutions to commercial pharmaceutical brand management/marketing * Strong technical aptitude and ability to convey complex concepts in a straightforward manner * Proven self-leadership ability to work with cross functional teams * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * BA/BS required What you'll get: * In-depth client-centric training at a mission-driven company * A competitive base salary and attractive commission structure * Competitive salary, internal training program, private health insurance, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays * Opportunity to join a high performing team working globally and cross functional * The right candidate will be offered assistance and input on potential transitions from elsewhere in Europe to Barcelona * The opportunity to revolutionize real world medicine and amplify the voice of physicians globally.
