Our mission is to improve the quality of human life by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longer An exciting opportunity has arisen for an antibody scientist, with in vivo antibody generation experience, to join the Externalisation Group in the department of Protein, Cellular and Structural Sciences (PCSS UK) at GSK's Medicines Research Centre in Stevenage. The Department is engaged in the design, generation and validation of biological reagents to support drug discovery across all of GSK's therapeutic modalities. The externalisation group within PCSS has the responsibility for providing tool antibodies and other Biological reagents to the Research and Discovery organisation. An important deliverable from this group is the delivery of high-quality tool antibody reagents including polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies for target validation, assay development and proof of concept studies. Working with colleagues, your role will be to contribute to the scientific strategy for tool Ab generation from CROs and delivery to GSK research areas, while maintaining excellent scientific and oversight rigor. Key Responsibilities: - * Coordinating the delivery of high-quality tool antibodies to GSK's Research and Discovery areas using CROs. * Contribute towards improvements in GSK's antibody outsourcing processes. * Maintain knowledge of the evolving CRO technical landscape and evaluating CRO capabilities. * Ensure adherence to GSK's recording and compliance requirements through maintaining high quality records. Coordination and receipt of reports from CROs. * Clear and concise presentations of results to peers and programme teams. Basic Qualifications * MSc or equivalent experience required in biological sciences. * Experience leading in vivo antibody discovery projects. * Assay development expertise. * Track record of critiquing scientific data and ability to identify and resolve scientific questions. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary matrixed teams. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications * Working knowledge of antibody discovery and development process. * Practical expertise of outsourcing. * Experience in the biotechnology industry. Why GSK?
