United Kingdom - Nottinghamshire, Nottingham Job Summary We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Pavement Engineer to work under the guidance of an Associate in the pavement team. You will be responsible for the design, site inspection, materials specification and research of various types of pavement projects. Job Duties: + Delivering pavement projects, including investigation reports, design projects and site supervision + Managing fieldwork projects including commercial and health and safety requirements + Performing airfields/roads pavement inspection and report treatment recommendations + Pavement analysis, design, specification and reporting + Implementing plans for the development of pavement & materials services + Providing commercial guidance when developing proposals and in the delivery of projects + Supporting project managers and other team members + Implementing the technical quality requirements, addressing the project brief and meeting the client delivery deadline + Working as part of the wider pavement team, liaising with laboratory and operations staff to understand and deliver the project technical brief Minimum Requirements + You must have post-graduate experience in design, site supervision and construction management of civil & infrastructural projects + Knowledge of pavement engineering demonstrated by experience in pavement design, investigation and research + Knowledge or experience of road and airfield pavement engineering projects + Knowledge or experience of UK pavement design methodologies and contract documentation, including MCHW + Experience of pavement investigation projects for maintenance design and failure investigation + Knowledge of materials behaviour underlying standard specifications + Working knowledge of the preparation of proposals and communication with clients + If you have any of the skills below that would be advantageous: + Experience of international airfield/road standards + Experience of DIO airfield inspection + Experience of non-DMRB pavement design Preferred Qualifications + Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification + Chartership or working towards chartered status with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE or CIHT) Your benefits will include: Helping our employees achieve a healthy work-life balance is important to us.
