TT Electronics Fairford Limited is a provider of wiring solutions, electrical harnessing systems and back-shells to the Defence and Aerospace Markets. We were established in 1978 in Fairford, Gloucestershire and today our team is approximately 90 members strong. Introduction The Health, Safety , Environmental & Facilities Lead develops and maintains HS&E programs across our site and coordinates activities associated with the HS&E policies and procedures. Provides cost-effective and timely delivery of facilities and maintenance services with the least disruption to site. Key Responsibilities Essential HS&E Functions (Approx. 60%): + Develops, implements and monitors programs and procedures to ensure total compliance with all laws and regulations + Acts as ISO14001 Environmental Management Representative and is responsible for maintaining certification + Investigates all incidents/injuries, maintains statistics and makes recommendations for correction of problem areas + Assists in communicating hazard control information and evaluates effectiveness of the controls + Drives regular safety audits throughout the facility reporting results and following up to ensure discrepancies are corrected + Acts as primary contact in dealing with regulatory agencies, and trains management to understand HSE regulations and standards including, but not limited to, OSHA, TCEQ, EPA, IATA, DPT and ISO14001; + Develops training materials and conducts HSE training; including new hire orientation + Serves as chair for site safety committee. + Develops & implements 6S initiatives related to Environmental & Safety + Conducts regular gap analysis/audits of our systems + Owns & drives roadmaps relating to EHS + Member of the site Emergency response team (with hands on aspect ie; Spill containment, Fire) + Leads by example - promotes safe system of working by engagement + Ensures the review/creation & management of all site risk assessments + Undertakes DSE, ergonomic & manual handling assessments + EHS representative for all customer & compliance audits Facilities Management (Approx. 40%) + Responsible for onsite cleaning provision + Integral to the procurement of new equipment & process, with ability to identify areas of concern + Ensures buildings, services, vehicles and plant equipment meet their intended needs + Accountable for maintenance, cleaning waste disposal and disposal records, refurbishment, building works, security and parking + Ensure the surrounding environment is in a suitable condition to work + Sourcing vendors, raising RFQs and RFAs, booking and project managing all necessary arrangements for installation and maintenance of site facilities activities and equipment The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate: + Safety & Environmental - with experience in an office/manufacturing environment + Flexible - ability to undertake tasks as prioritised + Self-starting & highly motivated - impeccable time & attendance and a 'can do' attitude + High personal safety standards + PC skills - must be proficient with utilising basic packages, to include e-mail and excel + Good communication skills - recognises that this role is a service provider and our internal customer interface is critical, thus the need to 'always be professional' + Ability to persuade and influence + Knows and interprets the legislation, regulation & law, bringing this to life by implementation of policies & procedures + Detects opportunities for safety/environmental improvements in the production areas and monitors the development of these projects. + Drives the safety aspect of the preventitive and predictive maintenance programs Required Education and Experience: + NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) in safety/health/environmental with a minimum 3 years' professional HSE experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment + Proficiency in Microsoft packages Highly Desirable: + Experience in Electronics/Semiconducto + Previous facilities management (not essential, but excellent project management skills if missing) + Experience of delivering safety with
