Job Description
Our Client, based in a high profile commercial office building near Westferry Station, London E14 3RH is currently looking for a Handyman to support the Maintenance Engineering team & to work towards keeping the building in pristine condition. The hours will be Shift, 4 days on & 4 days off. 12 hours per day, the job role is temporary ongoing & the pay rate is up to £14.95 p/h. JOB DUTIES The Handyman job role will include the following duties: * To carry out general building maintenance, from minor M&E fault finding & repairs to assisting with fabric work. * To carry out routine checks on building plant & equipment to ensure optimum condition & up time are achieved. * Attend to general tasks such as hot & cold water supply, blocked drains, changing filters, toilets, minor spillages, water treatment, office moves, replacement of light bulbs and lamps, painting & decorating & some first line HVAC maintenance. * Reporting and logging of all breakdowns & faults. * Responsible for the basic electrical & mechanical maintenance, bms systems and plant. JOB REQUIREMENTS * The ideal candidate for the Handyman job , will be multi skilled, hardworking & have a proven track record in maintenance, with excellent communication skills & be well presented and professional in approach at work. * Ideally have worked in the job role of Maintenance Engineer & understand the requirements of the job , have a good understanding of Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance & live within a good commute to the site in Westferry, London. * The candidate would be able to work on their own with minimal supervision, be organised & responsable, and have a good eye for attention to detail, someone who is diligent, professional and intuitive. * The ideal person for the Handyman job would have previous experience in a handyman job role that was a customer facing environment. * Good skills, knowledge & experience in plumbing & HVAC maintenance would be a plus, combined with a "can do" attitude. JOB LOCATION The Handyman job role is based near to Westferry Station, London E14 3RH JOB OFFER The Handyman job role is temporary, ongoing & paying up to £14.95 p/h. The hours are shift 12 hours, 4 on, 4 off, days only There is lots if Overtime available. Immediate Start available.
