UK Medical Lead - Haematology Reporting to the UK Head of Medical Affairs Oncology Based in the Maidenhead office this role will have direct management responsibilities. The role: This brand new and exciting opportunity for an experienced medical affairs professional who is looking to work in a highly collaborative environment in the Oncology division. Leading a team this role is pivotal in ensuring medical affairs is fully integrated to support the strategy and execution of the affiliate business while being functionally independent. Primary function: * Represent the affiliate's medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned products and relevant therapeutic areas. * Provide medical / scientific expert advice / guidance to key customers for assigned products and relevant therapeutic areas, including scientific exchange and professional relationship development with key thought leaders. * Provide medical affairs support to cross-functional affiliate teams. * Work closely with sales, marketing and commercial leadership teams to provide strategic medical input into core brand strategies, and to support medical/marketing/market access activities * Provide leadership, strategic direction and mentorship to direct reports, as appropriate, and fulfill line management responsibilities accordingly. Qualifications Qualifications/Knowledge and experience: * Medical Degree or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or relevant practical experience. * Experience working in a pharmaceutical industry and general knowledge on drug development and clinical research an advantage. * Previous experience within Oncology is a must. * Leadership experience with a coaching mindset is preferred. * Experience being an active contributor to cross-functional teams and/or working in matrix organisation will be an advantage.
