Objective: The Medical and Outcomes Research Manager will lead the Medical and Outcomes Research activities and has overall responsibility for strategic input into therapy area gap analyses and performance of all locally initiated UK studies (process tracking/quality/cost/time) as well as completion of encore and original publications in line with therapy area plans. In addition the Medical and Outcomes Research Manager has accountability for managing the processes related to support for investigator led studies. Highlighted Keyresponsibilities include: + Lead all UK Medical and OutcomesResearch activities. + Accountability for strategic inputfrom OR Managers into cross functional therapy area gap analyses. + Finalisation of robust evidencegeneration plans across all relevant TAs to support development of a comprehensivevalue proposition for each asset addressing relevant payer and clinicalevidence gaps. + Development and documentation ofprocesses for effective management and monitoring of local projects (e.g.investigator-initiated studies (IIS) etc.). + Accountability for thepublications process to support dissemination of relevant data in line withmedical communication plans. + Input into enhancements to localgap analysis methodology. + Key contact with crossfunctional UK Commercialisation of Asset Teams (CoAT) and Brand Teams and relevantexternal parties regarding execution of evidence generation plans to enhancelocal strategy (e.g. UK Clinical teams, investigators, other Affiliatepersonnel). + Oversight of resource allocationand budget management for local projects. + Accountability foridentification, set-up and management of all local projects. + Input and management forassigned projects that require significant local input + Initiation and maintenance oftracking and reporting to Affiliate management. + Provision of appropriate training and quality standards on all localprojects. + Leadership on process improvement for local work e.g. the effective selectionof IIS study sites, enhancement of Clinical Research local study capability. Qualifications Qualifications, Knowledgeand Experience + Graduate qualification in Evidence Based Medicine, RealWorld Evidence, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Public Health or a lifeScience degree. + Extensive experience in Medical and Outcomes Researchwithin the pharmaceutical, academia or consultancy sectors. + Experience of CPRD-HES, THIN and other UK datasets highlydesirable. + Expertise in clinical, administrative and regulatory researchpractices and regulations in the UK. + In depth knowledge of UK HTA requirements and UK payerevidence preferred. + Strong business acumen and project management skills. + Ability to establish and maintain excellent crossfunctional working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
