Overview
Technical Project Manager My financial insurance client are seeking a Technical Project Manager from a heavily technically focused information technology background perhaps in infrastructure or development to join them during an exceptionally busy period of change and transformation. They are currently challenging lots of their ways; all for the better and huge improvements are underway to upgrade all of their legacy systems. In this way it is a wonderful opportunity to get demonstrable delivery, upgrade and innovation experience on your CV within a highly technically focused environment. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible in leading all infrastructure and development projects across definition & delivery across IT Projects as part of an overall portfolio of change, determining scope, requirements, deliverables and delivery schedules. You will be directly responsible in leading, shaping, developing and delivering a detailed plan of work that will enable the successful implementation of IT centric change across Systems, People and Process on schedule and to budget. Skills / Experience / Knowledge of the Technical Project Manager: Financial industry experience. Comes from an exceptionally technically focused background of infrastructure and or development. Proven delivery of sizeable and complex IT change, involving both internal and third-party suppliers. Commercial Awareness Strategic awareness Ability to think laterally & identify range of solution options Delivering Programmes of work with a budget of up to £3m and managing all aspects of the work from creation, budgetary management through to commencement of benefits realisation and adoption of lessons learned Managing change within a FS/highly regulated environment, experience of regulatory requirement Implementation of new organisation requirements to support delivery Proven adept operating at all levels of an organisation up to and including Executive Proficient user of all MS Office packages including MS Project Prince2 Practitioner The ideal Technical Project Manager will have Agile and Prince 2 skills, have come from the financial sector and have worked their way up the ranks in IT. We are looking for a capable techie who had a breath of knowledge in delivering and executing technical projects with superb communication skills and an excellent track record of successful project delivery.
