The role… We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter to lead our payroll team in providing a timely and efficient service to the business whilst also taking an innovative approach to help us transform our payroll function. Last year we became the first commercial business to implement 'instant pay' via our app technology and are leading the way in designing pay experiences to suit todays wide range of individual needs. We are therefore looking for a Manager who will continue to innovate and streamline our payroll processes. Key tasks: Manage and support with analysis and checking of payroll data Manage and support with all payroll transactions including weekly, monthly and adhoc Calculate adjustments to pay, eg holiday, sickness Process starters and leavers in line with best practice Working with internal teams to continuously improve employee and client Maintain and update all data relevant to payroll processing Run reports, reconcile and check output against expectations Ensure payroll processes and procedures are reviewed and implemented correctly Provide advice and support to managers and employees within the business Complete all end of year processes Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including pension regulations, PSA, Gender pay gap reporting, AOEs etc Provide line management of the payroll team including training and development You… Experienced of managing a complex payroll function, with good working knowledge across all areas of payroll, both processing and regulatory, ideally holding a CIPP qualification Experience of driving change within a fast paced environment A good understanding of the importance of technology and an interest in how it can be used within a business A desire to see continual improvement within your team and the drive to make it a reality Want to work for a company that will embrace new ideas and recognise success Take pride in developing and leading an innovative and well respected payroll team
