Overview

We are currently looking for Passionate Support Worker's to join the ranks in our diverse care team located in North Leicester. Satya Nivas serves as a residential home to act as a sanctuary for Asian individuals with learning disabilities/mental health issues to live happy and fulfilling lives as independently as possible. Satya Nivas is a mixed gender home and can accommodate anyone aged 18 or over. The home can accommodate 10 service users and being a stones throw from Leicester town centre, service users and support workers alike will have access to many local amenities such as colleges, shops and local leisure facilities. Shifts available - Bank positions covering as and when (sickness & annual leave) Waking Nights - 21.00 – 07.00 If fully flexible - Can do a week of days, a week of nights & a week of sleep ins Who we’re looking for: Our support workers must be kind, compassionate and genuinely enthusiastic about the care and wellbeing of our service users Our support workers MUST have a good working knowledge of safeguarding and whistleblowing. Our support workers need to use initiative to keep service users engaged. Our support workers MUST be reliable and flexible, care work isn’t your typical 9-5 grind Good understanding of Gujarati language would be highly desirable but not essential. Shifts: The shifts within Satya Navas are split into three categories, Earlies, Late’s and Waking Nights. Earlies: 09.15 – 15.00 Late: 15.00 – 21.00 Waking Nights: 21.00 – 07.00 Each week you will be put on a rota. There will be some weekend work involved however this typically alternates each week. The Rotas are produced far in advance so you will always know when you are working. Management are flexible with the rota and if you need to swap a shift, they will always look to accommodate this when they can. Overtime is on offer in the home, dependent on staff annual leave and sickness.
