Gap professional are operating as an employment agency on behalf of its client who are looking for a IT Support Technician 2nd Line Job: Permanent Location: Exeter Hours of work : Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm. After probation period, a shift pattern of earlies, lates and on-call will be required on a rota basis Salary: £20,000 to £30,000 Summary: The successful IT Support Technician 2nd Line will provide technical support, remotely to our customer base and support the team in the installation and configuration of applications within a virtual/hosted environment. Key Responsibilities: Setting up new customers, software updates, communicating with clients to resolve issues via the help-desk, telephone and remote access to customer sites, working as part of a busy help-desk team to promote a first-time fix attitude. Demonstrate expertise providing 2nd line support in a Windows environment knowledge, skills and Experience Windows Server and Basic Networking (including DNS, Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V) Windows Terminal Server (RDS) to the level of setup and troubleshooting (including redirected Printing) MS Office & SQL back-end business applications Maintaining system documentation to a high standard Understanding the importance of IT security, within a physical and virtual environment It would be advantageous to have Microsoft certification IT Support: 3 years (Required) Driving Licence: (Required) Closing date is 18th April 2019 To Apply please follow the application process for the site this job is advertised on or email your CV By applying for the above position and providing your personal data to us you understand that your data will be processed in line with our Privacy Policy.
