Overview
Role: Financial Accountant Location: Birmingham (with 1/2 days in Oxford) Salary: £45k Contract: 12 months (with a view to go permanent) An amazing opportunity has arisen to join a global pharmaceutical business in Birmingham as a Financial Accountant. To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, experience in Corporation Tax, Statutory Accounting & VAT is essential. Applicants must be ACCA or ACA qualified. This role will see you working closely with members of the Research & Development team across two sites of the business. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Preparing the workings required for claims associated with corporation tax returns Co-ordination of statutory accounts, internal audit and cadency Providing support to the CFS Controller in preparing the statutory financial statements Specific responsibility for the onboarding of ADC finance related tasks CFS accounting & tax related responsibility Experience with SAP Systems is preferred, and the ability to pick up new systems quickly is essential.
