Overview
This fast-growing eCommerce organisation is seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead the design, development and implementation of new and optimal Java-based system/solutions. The Senior Java Developer will be working on greenfield projects to design, develop, and implement brand-new high-performance Java applications that will revolutionise the organisation's future. This is a highly varied role, where you will be developing a diverse range of applications including those for warehousing, logistics, purchasing, customer journey, and more. The successful Senior Java Developer will be joining one of the fastest-growing digital retailers in the UK. The business is currently underway with a major digital transformation, to ensure they can continue their ambitious growth trajectory and offer new solutions and services to their customers. This position will suit a Senior Java Developer who is seeking a challenging and varied position within a friendly and non-corporate working environment. Requirements: Background developing Java-based business systems and applications Excellent knowledge of relational database principles and SQL An understanding of recognised design and delivery principles and methodologies such as OO, SOLID, Agile A desire to provide coaching, support and guidance to more junior-level developers Office located near Blackburn and easily commutable from surrounding areas including Accrington, Clayton-le-Moors, Preston, Burnley, Bolton, Bury and other surrounding Lancashire towns.
