Overview
IT Project Manager required for our client who are currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a specific systems and application project delivery knowledge base. In this role, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for the planning of technology projects, along with mobilising and managing multiple projects, ensuring that deadlines are met. The role will also include jointly managing our team of IT development professionals, implementing technology security and the execution of all technology-related tasks and initiatives. IT Project Manager Position Overview To project manage designated IT projects within the organisation's IT development workload and also its programme for infrastructure/system improvements Define project scope, develop and maintain full project plans at milestone and task levels, identifying risk and managing contingency plans within every project Steering projects from initiation to go-live and beyond. To act on behalf of the organisation's IT department and be a designated IT point of contact for the organisation's clients and third parties Report project status at the appropriate level to all necessary parties and ensure communication channels remain updated Understand current and future business goals and ongoing IT issues to ensure business success Helping with projects in areas such as user acceptance testing and product design/deployment. Being the voice of the end user and establishing the training solutions for staff on new products and system updates. Establishing how technologies can assist/enable/improve business processes and provide technology strategy planning Translating business requirements into specifications Assisting in areas such as UAT and product design/deployment IT Project Manager Position Requirements Proven experience of working as a Project Manager. Experience of delivering technology solutions for critical line of business activities in the public or private sector. Ability to plan, monitor and provide effective reporting on the progress of projects. Experience in full end to end lifecycle project delivery Experience of working with Microsoft Office in particular, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project Ability to prioritise workload and have a flexible approach to ensure all deadlines are met Excellent time management skills Clear written and verbal communication Ability to work in a team Travel to client offices as and when required Desirable Qualifications and Skills Ability to create and comment on technical documents Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences PRINCE2 Qualification IT Project Manager Position Remuneration £40,000 - £50,000 21 days holiday increasing by 1 day every 2 years' service up to a maximum of 25 days, plus statutory days Pension scheme - Auto enrolment Employee Assistance Programme Life insurance Employee Referral Scheme Staff Discounts Laptop, Tablet, Mobile Phone & Use of Company Pool Vehicle Bennett & Game Recruitment are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
