Overview

Working within a niche precious metal manufacturing business, we now have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to take responsibility for the company's quality systems to operate to BS EN ISO 9001:20115. You will have worked from ideally within a metals / stamping manufacturing business and be fully accustomed to the full range of quality tools. Commutable from: Redditch, Worcester, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Stourport, Malvern Salary: £ 28,000 - £ 30,000 per annum benefits The Role Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager you will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: Is responsible for testing and inspection within the company in accordance with the procedures laid down in the quality and operations manual. In conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company's quality system continues to operate to BS EN ISO 9001: 2015. In conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager and / or Production Manager has the authority to :- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system. Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system. Control of non-conforming product until the unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. Initiate Advanced Quality Planning Procedures, Including the Development of Control Plans, Instructions, Capability Analysis and completion of Initial Sample Inspection Reports. Providing appropriate Inspection Measuring / Test Equipment, within budget, as required. Conducting Supplier Quality System Audits at request of Commercial Director and / or Quality Assurance Manager. Specific projects as agreed with the MR and / or Quality Assurance Manager. Deputising for the Quality Assurance Manager as required. The Person The successful Quality Assurance Engineer will be a self starter who has a demonstrable track record of working within a Quality department with ideally previous experience of one or all of the following; i) rolling mill experience; ii) slitting /shearing experience, iii) sheet / coiled metal experience.
