Quality Manager My client is a world leader in the formulation and production of high-quality paints and coatings. With global reach through their network of subsidiaries and partners, they are the supplier of choice for many national and international organisations. They are seeking a Quality & Compliance Manager to lead and manage the quality function, as well as manage the Health & Safety and Quality Systems for the Group across 3 Main Sites. Main Accountabilities – (Quality Manager) · Responsible for improving product quality internally & externally (customer) · Work with the General Manager for each site to develop a working relationship with the workforce for managing the quality procedures and implementing the H&S policies and procedures. · Lead the Quality Management and Health & Safety Management and Compliance across the Group · Maintain and improve the Quality Management Systems for ISO9001 and ISO 14001 and work towards implementing the Health & Safety Standard into the company procedures Main responsibilities – (Quality Manager) · Manage the Quality team to deliver the quality responsibilities · Be the “Customer face for Quality” alongside the team · Leading resolution to product quality concerns (internally & externally) · Proactively implement methods to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency · Devise new formulations and source necessary raw materials to meet new customer requirements, as required · Manage product information such as Formulations, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) & Dangerous Goods Notices (DGN) · Regularly review legislation changes and ensure our procedures encompass any related updates · Maintain & continually improve Operating & ISO standards · Carry out regular Calibrations, Internal Audits, Quality Management Reviews, Safety tests, etc in line with Safety, statutory and ISO Standard requirements · Ensure successful completion of external Audits Experience required – (Quality Manager) · Ideally experienced Quality Manager or development chemist in the coatings or associated industry Demonstrable experience of improving product quality and systems. Strong time management, planning and organisational skills. Creative, flexible and able to adapt to industry change. Adept at building world class customer relationships. · Good communication skills · Demonstrate knowledge and problem solving within the paint/coating industry Quality Manager
