In this Data Engineer role you’ll join a close-knit, highly collaborative team where you’ll key a critical role in architecting and running the data storage layer of the core platform. You’ll monitor the availability, performance, capacity and usage-patterns of the databases, contributing to key technical and strategic decisions. As a Data Engineer you’ll have the opportunity to get stuck into the strong pipeline of projects, from guiding features in the performant, scalable architecting system to recommending optimisations to enhance databases, or empowering developers by designing and automating scripts and software tools to build robust databases. You’ll have the chance to develop your skills with diverse, modern technologies including CockroachDB in an AWS cloud environment. Requirements: You have strong SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL You have good working knowledge of software development, specifically with Java, Go and / or Python and Distributed Systems Computing You’re a passionate data technologist, keen to keep pace with new and emerging technologies and continuously looking for ways to innovate You’re a positive team player who is keen to work collaboratively and share ideas As a Data Engineer, you’ll earn a highly competitive salary (to £100k) plus a comprehensive benefits package.
