Overview

Data Centre Technical Manager - Critical Data Centre - Slough, Berkshire An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Centre TechnicalManager within one of the fastest growing divisions of this industry leading critical services provider. The successful candidate will provide technical support and in-depth knowledge of DC systems that is required to be maintained and monitored within the building services infrastructure of this critical Data Centre. Job Specification: Ability to operate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective and efficient manner (including HV isolations/operations). Completing the Monthly and Quarterly Engineering Report as detailed in the contract ensuring that significant events or activities are noted. Ensure the team are monitoring the BMS and provide appropriate responses upon alarm activations. Strong understanding of LV and HV electrical systems, data hall cooling/humidity, BMS systems monitoring, UPS, generator systems, electrical installation and safe systems of work. Ensure strong communication to the client and senior management team. Produce quotations for critical infrastructure enhancement / remedial works Manage workloads accordingly Organise sub contract labour. Salary & Package £55,000 - £65,000 Per Annum 8 till 5 | Monday to Friday 25 Days Annual Leave Pension, Training and Career Progression The Person: Minimum of 5 years experience within Data Centre operations. HV Authorised Person City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical Engineering Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff. Ability to lead, motivate and direct a small team of technicians/operatives.
